For her fabulous wedding in Athens, Dimitra chose a timeless romantic style. The bell skirt and back neckline create a mix of tradition and seduction. This gorgeous organza and taffeta gown is inspired by the overlapping imagery of Picabia’s ‘Transparencies’. These paintings with dreamlike atmospheres suggested an overlapping lace decoration. On the plain organza, corded lace is overlaid with delicate chantilly lace embroidery.

The combination of materials of different color shades-from cream, to antique pink, to ivory with a touch of peach-recreates the particular evanescent sensibility of ‘Transparencies. “Designing my wedding dress was more than making a dream gown.
